Hi

Hi,
I've been redrafting my vision, mission, value statement after reading Heike Philp 's comments and meeting my helpful "team" on Tuesday (thanks for your advice Fernanda, Carolina and Yuko...) This is my second version. I went back to basics and tried to think what makes me unique. As it isn't what I teach and or where I (intend to) teach (online) I thought about how I teach... I am passionate about giving learners the tools they need to be autonomous and to be able to carry on their learning in the future and I am also an advocate of teaching soft skills (life skills) too. In our modern society I believe some of these skills are fundamental. This is how I teach English now and how I will continue to teach online so I decided to put it into my vision, mission, value statement... So this is my second draft.... any feedback gratefully accepeted ;-)

Lisa, I think those very same words should appear somewhere. Maybe on your page? It's implicit in your vision mission but they are so accurate regarding your teaching and so nice to read!

  2. Fernanda Taranco I totally agree. I need to redraft my webpage copy to include this information. I hadn't thought about making it explicit until I redrafted the vision, mission, value statement and realised it might be one of my selling points ... ;-) I thought it was just the way I teach. Now I realise this is fundamental to who I am and what I (and my business) stand for ;-)
